Ryan Davis is the Executive Director of Seattle Jobs Initiative (SJI), a workforce development nonprofit dedicated to providing pathways to living wage careers for underserved communities at both the local and national level. As a leader in workforce operations and strategy, Ryan has over 20 years of experience in business development, higher education, public policy, and nonprofit management.
His areas of expertise include collaborations between higher education and the workforce system, building innovative sector strategies and career pathways, and connecting Federal, State, and local policy frameworks to build inclusive economic opportunity strategies. Prior to joining SJI, Ryan served as the President and CEO of Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, a national nonprofit policy institute focused on workforce and economic development, and the Dean of Business and Applied Technology at Everett Community College. As Dean, he built multi-faceted workforce programs for hundreds of diverse students, including improved offerings at the Tulalip Nation and student facing homelessness. Additionally, Ryan brings extensive board leadership experience serving as Chair of the Washington Workforce Education Council, Vice-President of Workforce Snohomish, and several community non-profit organizations.
He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Affairs at University of Washington.
